How much refund for my $10,000,000 Diamond Bra?

How much refund for my $10,000,000 Diamond Bra?Last month there was a class action lawsuit for easy refund of foreign transactions on credit card, and now its time for Diamond refund.

People who have bought diamonds any time between January 1, 1994, and March 31, 2006 may be in for a little return on their purchase.

De Beers has settled a class action lawsuit for $295 million. In settling, De Beers is shelling out this $295 million to put the trouble behind it -- $135 million of which is earmarked for consumers rather than wholesalers.

The settlement is the result of a lawsuit which said that the South African company charged anticompetitive prices for the rough diamonds it sold, monopolized the rough diamond market, and disseminated false and misleading advertising.

The rewards can be substantial, media reports that a consumer who bought a $2,000 ring could get as much as $640 back.

There is a settlement website for claims, which provides details on who might be eligible and those interested in filing must do so before March 19.

Here's how refund eligibility is figured:

Purchase price - Maximum claim
Mixed-stones jewelry - Less than $200 - 6% of the retail price

Mixed-stones jewelry - $200 or more - 14.5% of the retail price

Diamonds-only jewelry - Less than $200 - 10.5% of the retail price

Diamonds-only jewelry - $200 to $999 - 27.5% of the retail price

Diamonds-only jewelry - $1,000 to $5,499 - 32% of the retail price

Diamonds-only jewelry - $5,500 to $9,999 - 38.5% of the retail price

Diamonds-only jewelry - $10,000 or more - 45% of the retail price

Loose diamonds Any and all 59% of the retail price

Speaking of which, if had purchased the $10,000,000 Diamond Bra, it would've given me a whopping return of $4,500,000
