Drive traffic with duplicate content

ShareAPost.com, is the new service from Jonathan Leger for sharing blog content, and has been a huge hit so far, but the question keeps coming up about "duplicate content." My eyes roll around and around every time I hear somebody say that Google won't rank duplicate content.
