The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting has announced the 13 winners of its first-ever essay contest on Helium!
The winners hail from all around the globe, including a Canadian mother of two, who talks about child labor in Congo; a California writer, remembering her Vietnam veteran brother who died from the effects of Agent Orange; and a counselor and adjunct professor from Colorado, who wrote on Venezuela's Hugo Chavez.
