How to get your blog in Google Alerts

Google Alerts now supports 6 different types of alerts that you can configure. The alerts are supported for News, Web, Blogs, Comprehensive (News, Web & Blogs combined), Video and Groups.

Google Video Alerts is the newest of the alerts supported by Google. To add Google Video to your email alerts, you can either do a search at Google Video, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Get the latest videos on [keyword phrase] with Google Alerts," or you can go to Google Alerts and fill out the form.

One of Google’s requirements to get your Blog included in Google Alerts results is to have multiple authors.

Here are a couple ways to get others to write for your blog.

1. You could post a job on a Free Lance website offering to pay writers for their thoughts at a per article rate

2. You could ask other bloggers to guest write for your blog in return for back links or some other perk

3. You could co-op with other bloggers in your niche.

4. You write an article for another blog in return they write an article for your blog.

You just have to think outside the blog to figure out how to best accomplish this.
