Google announced a joint project with the Cleveland Clinic, an 87-year-old not-for-profit medical center, that will see between 1,500 and 10,000 of the center's patients entrust their personal records to Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
Yes, between 1,500 and 10,000. Presumably, Google and the Cleveland Clinic anticipate that a few thousand patients will ultimately decide this idea is way too creepy.
In any event, the project marks the debut of a long-awaited/long-dreaded online health service from the Mountain View, California web giant. Google has previously said that this store-your-medical-records offering would be available to the general public sometime in 2008.
Similar services are already available from arch-rival Microsoft and a startup known as Revolution Health, backed by AOL co-founder Steve Case.
Google bills its password-protected service as "a new kind of healthcare experience that puts the patient in charge of his or her own health information." The Cleveland Clinic already stores patient records on an in-house database, and it will soon give a chosen few the opportunity to move their records onto Google's servers, including information regarding medical conditions, allergies, and prescriptions.
Now comes the money making part - You will be able to integrate AdSense ads using iGoogle gadgets using the Medical Records portal. If you want to share data from these gadgets with your doctors, you will all paid medical treatment by the revenue generated from using AdSense. Besides this you will be able to also get more revenue if you create iGoogle gadgets to share the data to your Insurance company and by embedding AdSense. Avoid SpeedyAds
I am using SpeedyAds and I am totally disappointed with their service and quality of the Ads. I have spent nearly $25 but yet I am not getting any views/impressions. I am not talking about CTR here, I am talking just plain views.
Their ad has been running on my blog for couple of weeks and I have had 8 Ad impressions for keywords like finance, monetization, insurance, mesothelioma lawyers, etc. Can you believe it? I have written them several emails asking for explanations and soon I will start bloging about them.
Are they really an advertising company?
Moreover I also read that they are not compatible with Google AdSense.
Take my advise and remove the SpeedyAds from your blog.
They dont even have a referral program.

Make money from 404 page
I have seen thousands of hits that equals a lot of missed opportunities to make some money online, wouldn’t you agree? Sure, we could have put up a cute 404 page with some wierd stuff on it, but besides the occasional chuckle, you’re pretty much not getting anything else out of it.
So here’s what we did; create a special page that revolves around making money online and you make sure that you have this line of code in your 404.php file:

All this does is redirect any typos after your domain.com (http://ghostrider30.blogspot.com/2008/01/make-money-from-404-page.html) directly to your money making page so all those poor visitors that got lost will be able to click on your affiliate links! This is an easy fix and will definitely start to make you more money in the long run. Make sure you update the ‘landing page’ regularly with new products to keep the crawlers coming back for more. Needless to say, try to link back to that same or a linked ‘landing page’ with one set of keywords. It will get you on the first page of Google in the long run!

Compound your CPM traffic from blogskinny
blogskinny.com is a site that I had registered with a while ago. It was one of the few directory of blogs that I had actually gained some decent traffic back from. They actually emailed me everytime I got some traffic from them, and from what I can tell they have no intention to stop sending traffic my way. All you have to do is put their image on the blog and register in their directory.
When you first register, select the appropriate directory in their "Directory of Blog Directories" you would want you blog to be placed in to to gain the most traffic.
If you write a post about them, they will give you 1500 free visitors to your blog. WoW! Now if that is not a great way to show appreciation to all faithful bloggers, I do not know what is!
The main goal of this post is to let you know, go head and give blogskinny a shot. I am definately pleased with their standards.

Kiddie Tax Loophole Soon to Disappear
Here's a piece courtesy of Marotta Asset Management on the kiddie tax loophole that is soon to expire.
Income-shifting is one of several tax planning tools families have used to lower their tax bill. Historically, parents could save a bundle by transferring highly appreciated investments to their children who are in lower tax brackets. However, this year, Congress has made income-shifting a dream of the past, trapping more kids in the dreaded "kiddie tax." Beginning January 1, 2008, children under 24 will owe taxes on unearned income at their parents' higher tax rates.
The "kiddie tax," or so it has been affectionately named, is a tax on children's unearned investment income or capital gains. Instead of taxing income and capital gains based on the child's tax bracket, the kiddie tax requires unearned income to be taxed at the parents' income and capital gains rates.
Before the expansion of the kiddie tax, parents turned to Uniform Transfer to Minors Accounts (UTMAs) or Uniform Gift to Minors Accounts (UGMAs) to move appreciated investments out of their estate. Once in the child's name, the assets were taxable at the child's - typically much lower - tax rates.
Shifting appreciated assets to a child could save a family 10% in capital gains taxes. Since most children earn little income, they usually fall into the lowest marginal tax brackets of 10% or 15%. Capital gains in these lowest two brackets are taxed at just 5%, compared to the typical 15% rate paid by many parents.
Savings could be even greater on short-term gains and investment income which are taxable at ordinary income tax rates. A child in the 10% bracket would pay 10% tax, instead of rates as high as 35% if mom and dad own the asset.
A once-in-a-lifetime kiddie tax loophole made intergenerational transfers even more appealing. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, capital gains rates are set to drop from 5% to 0% for individuals in 10% and 15% tax brackets. In other words, before the recent changes to the kiddie tax law, children 18 and over in the lowest two tax brackets could expect to pay no capital gains taxes in the next three years.
The new kiddie tax rule closes this loophole forever. If you were waiting for the days of 0% capital gains tax, you can kiss that dream good-bye.
Through 2005, the kiddie tax was limited to kids under 14. Last year, Congress cast the tax net wider, requiring children under age 18 to pay the kiddie tax. And this year, with the passage of the Small Business and Work Opportunity Tax Act of 2007, children under 19, or full-time students up to 24, will be subject to the kiddie tax. The good news is the new kiddie tax law doesn't take effect until January 1, 2008. If your child is between the ages of 18 to 23 this year you can still realize gains at your child's lower rate, if you act now.
After January 1st, children under 19, or full-time students under 24 will be stuck paying income and capital gains at their parents' tax rates. The kiddie tax applies as follows: No tax on the first $850 of earnings. Income between $851 and $1,700 is taxed at your child's tax rate. Any unearned income over $1,700 is taxable at the parents' marginal tax rate. However, children who provide for more than half of their own support will not be subject to the new law.
The expanded kiddie tax law now makes UGMA and UTMA a poor choice for college savings. Instead, 529 college savings accounts provide tax-free growth on contributions, allowing families to reduce their exposure to income and capital gains taxes. Qualified expenses such as college tuition, books, room and board can be withdrawn tax-free. And unlike UGMA and UTMA accounts, the college savings accounts are owned by the parent.

Top Google Searches for 2007 - AdSense revenue boosters for your site
Entertainment and technology topped Google's top searches in 2007, with the iPhone grabbing the No. 1 slot on a list of the fastest-rising search terms in the United States, the company said on Tuesday.
"iPhone, of course, is a word very few people typed in a search box in 2006," said Marissa Mayer of Google, an Internet search engine. "It didn't exist." Apple rolled out the iPhone, which is a mobile phone, music and video player and Internet browser device, in the United States last summer.
Four social networking sites made the top 10, including Webkinz, which grabbed the No. 2 slot. Webkinz is a stuffed animal that customers can register and play with online. Celebrity news Web site TMZ ranked third, while transformer toys took the No. 4 slot.
Transformers are the wildly popular toys that shift their shapes, for example from cars to alien robots, and they got a big boost from the 2007 hit movie "Transformers." "There's a lot of interest in the celebrity culture, television and movies," said Mayer.
YouTube, the video-sharing Web site, grabbed the No. 5 spot while Club Penguin, a networking site for children, came in No. 6.
Social networking site MySpace took the No. 7 slot. Heroes, Facebook and Anna Nicole Smith rounded out the top 10.

Google Images to drive more traffic
This is a brand new SEO technique that I discovered after reviewing my site stats. I found that 80% of my traffic is coming from google images but only 20% of my blog posts use google images. So I applied the 80/20 rule to my blog and have seen a tremendous increase in the visitor ratios.
1. All you have to go is link to an image from google images whenever you publish a post.
2. For example in this post I use the following code to link to an image of a super hot google girl.

3. Make sure that there is an ALT tag with the same title as your post. Seemingly Yahoo search engine likes this very well.
