Make money with private advertising for your blog

As you may have noticed, many make money online blogs are slowly moving away from advertising networks like Google Adsense and moving toward the much more lucrative strategy of private advertising. This is a fairly simple transition for a blog of this size, but if you don’t have the audience size of John Chow — most of us don’t — then it can be pretty difficult to solicit private advertising. What can you do?

To address this very need, PlaceMyProduct.com was created. It’s described as an online auction site for product placement, sponsorships, and ads. They work as an intermediary, but unlike other networks, PlaceMyProduct takes a cut that’s much smaller than 50%. This is the eBay For Web Publishers and Advertisers

The major difference between the PlaceMyProduct online auction site and other advertising networks is that the pricing is not set in stone, but you have the scope to make more money with the higgest bid for the advertising space on your blog.

Just in a matter of few hours of creating my auction, I got a $10 bid for a 125 X 125 banner ad on my blog. Here is the proof, click on the widget and see for yourself.

I think this is a great platform to bring private advertisers and bloggers together in the marketplace for a win-win situation and maing more money online from private advertising media.

Digg and Facebook integration at blogskinny.com

Digg and Facebook integration at blogskinny.com
blogskinny.com's article directory is really taking off! I am seeing new page 1 Google placements for my articles every day and are extremely happy with the exposure this is bringing to me. If you have not started writing, you should. It's a great way to get a content-rich back-link from a PR7 web site.

Even so, I am always looking for new ways to help our bloggers. The latest strategy leverages the deep integration with Digg.com and Facebook.com. To start, you can use a quick and easy "submit your article to Digg" button in the Article Dashboad (Members\Article Details).

http://www.blogskinny.com/?p=Article-Dashboard

Be sure to go through the list and submit each of your articles to Digg so others can Digg them. You will also notice a new Digg badge at the top of your article to keep score.

Further, they have created a Digg Widget that will display interesting content from Digg.com to spice up your blog. There is also a new widget to be released shortly which will promote only your articles that you can place on your side-bar to drive traffic. Check out the latest widgets at:

Getting link from .org , .gov and .edu sites

The education, organization and government sites are considered much more valued sites and links coming from those sites are valuable. You need to search and find such sites.

Do a simple search on Google with this search term:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%…G=Search&hl=en
You may use another perfect search term special for edu blogs:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q…22&btnG=Search

With this string you will get all .edu blogs that allow posting comments and do not require to be logged in. Hope you find this string perfect. You can experiment with it for all kind of domains, it’s up to you. Make blog comments and put links in them, make sure your comment is genuine and not spam. You have to read the whole topic and find something to comment on the topic, job is done. After doing some comments maybe in a week you will see in Google index that you have links from .edu domain or .gov

1. Sign in to your FeedBurner account

2. Select your feed
3. Go to the Monetize tab where you can connect this service to your AdSense account (if you already have one), or create a new AdSense account (if you don't).

4. This service is currently available to members of FAN and all manner of FeedBurner publishers who go >bump< in the night, but haven't yet joined FAN.

5. Note: If you have enabled FeedFlare for your site, you've already added the magic code that makes these ads go where they need to go, so connect your account to AdSense on the Monetize tab and you're ready to earn!

Drive quality traffic to your Blog

Google Base Listing is a cool way to drive more traffic to your blog. Simply create a listing of your blog on Google Base e.g. in format below and in no time you can even monitor all traffic coming to your blog.

http://base.google.com/base/a/2776557/D12342149049890231920

Next step is to track your Google Base Listings with Free Google Analytics tool.

At first glance, it would seem tracking listings from Google Base would be simple. However, since Base listings often appear within the regular search results on Google, it can be tricky to differentiate traffic from the two sources. One way to differentiate traffic is to create unique landing pages on your website specifically for Base listings. You can do this by simply creating two versions of the same page on your website, but giving one a slightly different name. Here's an example:

Regular landing page: http://ghostrider30.blogspot.com/
Unique Base landing page: http://ghostrider30.blogspot.com/2007/10/top-financial-niche-keywords.html

By creating two versions of the same page on your website and submitting the unique landing page URLs to Base, Google Analytics can show you exactly how much traffic is being sent to your website from Base. Just make sure to include the unique landing page URL in the link attribute of your bulk upload file.

PR0 to PR4 in 4 easy weeks

I know lots of webmasters and SEO gurus that say that PR (google pageRank - the little green bar on the google toolbar) is not worth that much but everyone is using it as a measure.

Webmasters refuse to exchange links with you if they think your PR is inferior to their website's PR. Lots of programs (reviewme.com ...) could reject your site because of low PR, some directory owners display the list of sites ordered with PR.

So ... here is some simple steps you can follow to get your sites PR higher than it is and maybe get some extra traffic while you are at it.

1. Post your link in forums using signatures and/or places that allow website reviews, put the site url in the signature with your target keywords for titles

2. Submit to free and/or paid directories (in general the younger the directory the easier would be to get accept it in it)

3. If you have other sites put sitewide links pointing to your new website. If sites are totally unrelated subject, put the links in the footer with small letter (the link still counts).

4. Put your link anywhere you can, without becoming a spammer (everyone hates spammers)

5. Find some high PR sites and pay for a link if you have to. There is lots of projects on the internet that accept donations as low as $50 and they put your link in a high PR page. For example text link ad page has a PR of 6.

6. Using your link in comment posts. This won't necessarily increase your PR but it could give you a few visitors if nothing else.

I established my tag cloud Google Income System network in December of 2006 and in less than a month following these rules I succeeded getting its PR from 0 to 4 and that is the reason I am writing this post.

For the record world experts net has been almost abandoned, unfortunatelly due to lots of things in my head and currently looking for ways to rebuild it into something new.

So no matter what some say, PR is in our lives and its worth something. I can describe it better with a metaphor, you don't need an Armani Suit but if you wear one people look at you differently. But, PR by itself is not going to get any money for your site, but having it will help get some extra attention, or better deals.
