Microsoft has increased storage on Windows Live Skydrive to 5GB, up by a multiple of five from its previous limit of 1GB (the 1GB having doubled the original 500MB in October).

My Gmail account sits at 6.7GB today, so Skydrive is still behind, having said that I’m not sure how many (average) people would use Gmail for online storage, so the comparison doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Chase accepts ACH transfers for their direct deposit. Make sure you continue to transfer money every month otherwise you will get hit with a $6 inactivity fee.

Most banks treat ACH transfers as direct deposits. Essentially they don’t care where the money is coming from as long as you keep it flowing.

Earn free travel by playing games on Live Club

I stumbled on Live Club strictly by accident, but the bottom line is, you can play various games (word search, etc). And earn tickets that will allow you to convert to up to 2,500 miles at a time on the following airlines: Alaska, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Midwest, and US Airways. Take note that the airline awards have different ticket values--you get more miles per ticket at the 2,500 level than the other levels. (If you only redeemed 100 miles, by the time you used the same amount of tickets that you could have used for 2,500 miles, you would only have 1,700 miles.) I wonder how long the airline rewards will last, and if there may be a ticket devaluation down the line.

There are other prizes too (all microsoft products listed at the end of this post), but I thought this was interesting. In any event, this could be a way to earn a free ticket without ever getting on a plane.

1) People have earned 21,000 tickets in a week. I am curently up to about 3500 points, and have played off and on the past week.

2) Flexicon is the game that awards the most tickets in 1 game (25), and it actually goes pretty quickly. Every once in a while there will be something that stumps me and I will have to go away and come back. I would not call it hard. You also have clues and can always go to google if the particular one doesn't have a clue. Also, it's fun if you like that kinda thing (I do). They seem to add new puzzles daily, but I have worked all the puzzles currently available and had to wait until the next day (or whenever I got to it) to play again. I have played some of the others, they are okay, just not as rewarding. Flexicon seems like the best--good ticket value, enjoyable, and slightly intellectual.

3) I found the easiest (and mindless) way to get points is via 'Chicktionary'. I type the letters into an anagram dictionary like this one: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/adam.bozon/anagramsolver.htm and it gives me the answers. There is no time limit for this game. I get the max of 20 tickets every game. A game lasts me aprox 3 minutes. Hint: You can use your keyboard to type the solutions rather than clicking on the chickens

Make money from Games with sexually explicit unauthorized hack

Purchasers and original owners of the 2005 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are in for an unexpected treat. The game, notorious for a sexually explicit unauthorized hack present only in its original release, is the subject of a recent class-action lawsuit filing and settlement against its maker, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games.

The original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas release was rated Mature. While common themes of the game included gang warfare, pimping, and home-invasion, it was only after it was discovered that a special feature could be unlocked, allowing players to participate in a sex simulation game, that parents and lawmakers became fully engaged. The sex game, also called Hot Coffee, was denied by Take-Two, before they officially changed the rating from Mature to Adults-Only. Store owners responded by recalling many of the games, and it was later re-released with a patch to avoid access to the explicit materials.

The Lawsuit – On November 8, 2007, Take-Two announced it was facing a class-action lawsuit involving the original version of the game. It continued to deny wrongdoing, and as a result, settlement occurred.

Here’s what eligible consumers may be entitled to if you own an original copy of the game:

1. If you submit your original copy, you will get a replacement game.
2. If you submit your original detailed store receipt, you may get cash up to $35.
3. If you submit a credit card statement or check and game, you may get cash up to $17.50.
4. If you submit purchase details and the game, you may get cash up to $10.00.
5. If you just submit purchase details, you may get cash up to $5.00.

What does this mean for you? Assuming you own, and still play GTA: San Andreas, your best bet might be to keep the disc, as it is a collector’s item in many markets. If all of this Hot Coffee stuff is news to you, and you’re genuinely offended, then trade the game in for a slightly less offensive version of the game. For everyone else who bought a game but no longer has it, I’d try for the five bucks.
