Make 50,000 Points Worth $500 Cash, $625 in Airfare

Here’s another bonus worth $500+ for all you freelancers, consultants, and small business owners out there (even if you don’t even know it). The Chase Ink Bold with Ultimate Rewards is offering 50,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months your account is open. There is no annual fee for the first year, $95 after that. Also earn 5 points for every dollar on everyday business expenses on up to $50,000 in purchases.

Many people aren’t aware of the fact that they can apply for business credit cards, even if they are not a corporation or LLC. Why? Because any individual can be a business as well. The business type is called a sole proprietorship.

Five Ways To Get a Free Credit Score (No Trials)

Credit Sesame
Every month, Credit Sesame can offer you a credit score based on your Experian credit report. They also offer tips to improve your score and qualify for a mortgage

CreditKarma
CreditKarma.com is an ad-supported site that offers you the ability to check your credit score daily, called a Transrisk score, based on your TransUnion credit report. The score range is the same as FICO, from 300-850. You don’t get your credit report details, but you do get a few tips on what recent changes to your credit report have impacted your score.

Equifax Credit Score Card
The Equifax Credit Score Card comes directly from Equifax and provides a free credit score range of Low (280-559), Below Average (560-659), Average (660-724), Above Average (725-759), and High (760-850). It’s called the Equifax Risk Score. FICO has a range of 300-850, and this range is 280-850 so you don’t really have to do any scaling. It doesn’t provide any specific data from your Equifax credit report, but it does include a short summary of any negative factors that you may have on your report.

Prosper Person-to-Person Lending
Prosper Lending provides a free credit grade for prospective borrowers, based on your Experian credit data. If you don’t actually finalize the application for the loan, they will not check your credit. They do offer some good rates on personal loans, if you are looking to consolidate credit card debts.

LendingClub Person-to-Person Lending
Similar to Prosper, if you start an application to become a borrower at LendingClub.com they will check your credit on your behalf to find out what rate they will charge you. Instead of a numerical score, you will get a grade like “A2″ or “B3″. Then you can use the table below to determine your credit score range. For example, A2 would indicate a score range of 747-769. It is also based on your TransUnion credit report.

You will need to provide your personal information and Social Security number to these companies, naturally, so be comfortable with that. None of these methods by themselves will affect your credit score as you are requesting them for yourself.

Make money and miles with Performing Arts Tickets

You can earn miles or points for U.S. Air, Delta, Starwood, and Best Buy for answering trivia questions. They change sporadically. Two miles or points each (sometimes 20), for five or so questions which change irregularly. You may participate in all of the programs, as the questions are different for each. Just use a different email address for each. In addition, you earn 2 ShowPoints per question. If you have 2500 Show Points you can exchange them into miles at Points.com. As we all know the ratio is not great, but if you're never going to use the Show Points it's the best way

When you sign up for each program, use different email addresses, and be sure to record your Audience Rewards account numbers. Then, for the Delta questions, log in using your Delta account number in the upper left corner before answering the questions. For the U.S. Airways, Starwood, and Best Buy questions, first answer the first question, then click on the very bottom link of the pop up to log into your Audience Rewards account using your Audience Rewards account numbers, not your account numbers for U.S. Airways, Starwood, and Best Buy. If this doesn't work, your cookies probably say you are logged in. Go to https://www.audiencerewards.com/redeemcenter/index.cfm and log out. Then click on the appropriate link below.

When I post answers here I will mention that I have done so on my What's New page. To be notified of the new answers simply subscribe to the service mentioned on that page that sends you an email whenever I post something to that page. Note: The author of the blogInACents says he intendes to keep up with the questions and answers on his blog. His answers are usually correct, but not always. However, if an error is found, it is promptly corrected. I suggest you wait a few days after his post before using his answers. I actually check my answers by entering them into the contest before posting them here, but I will not be posting them while I am traveling.

Global Soap Project

The Global Soap Project collects discarded soap from hotels and reprocesses it into new bars that are given to vulnerable populations throughout the world. Partnering with organizations that have existing operations in these communities, the Global Soap Project ensures the soap is distributed to those in need, with the goal of improving health through personal hygiene. Hand washing with soap is among the most effective and inexpensive ways to prevent diarrhea and pneumonia, which together are responsible for more than 3.5 million child deaths each year. A lack of soap can be a barrier to hand washing at schools, community health clinics and refugee camps in developing countries, which rarely have soap or appropriate hand washing facilities. Your donation of 2,000 Hilton points sends 33 bars of soap to refugees, orphans, birth attendants, teachers, students and vulnerable populations around the world.

25000 Continental Airlines miles offer is back

I am pleased to blog that the 25,000 miles offer on Continental Airlines is back from Chase. Now you can get 10,000 Continental Airlines miles when you open a Chase Checking account and and make 5 debit card purchases or set up direct deposit.
And 15,000 additional Continental Airlines miles after the first qualifying purchase is made with your Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card or Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card. Besides these bonus miles, you can always earn 1 mile/$1 spent in qualifying purchases with the Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card for a $65 annual fee per checking account, or 1 mile/$2 spent in qualifying purchases with the Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card, for a $25 annual fee per checking account.
The other advantage of this offer is that you can check your first bag without ever paying a fee (a $30 round trip savings).
The catch is that there is a limit one personal checking account-related reward per customer, per calendar year. So maybe we can open another checking account for a bonus next year? Be careful however and read the terms and conditions to understand what else you must do to get the miles like the direct deposit catch. There is a similar offer for a business checking account, but it requires purchase of the $65/year Chase Continental Airlines Business Debit Card. Please note that this offer valid through September 30, 2010. Be sure you understand the early closing fee and how to avoid monthly fees for your checking account associated with these cards.

How to get Free 5,000 miles from Spirit Airlines

Simply register here for an easy 5,000 miles. If you have not yet signed up for the program, do so, then register. Miles will be posted to your FREE SPIRIT account within 45 days of registration. Each FREE SPIRIT account can only register and receive one 5,000 mile bonus. Please note all registrations must be completed prior to 6/30/2010.

FREE SPIRIT Miles will expire when an account becomes inactive for a period of 6 months or more. An “inactive” account is one that has less than 2,000 miles credited to it from any source during the preceding 6 months. However, miles can be kept alive with one purchase per month on their credit card. This program appears to be truely for frequent flyers on Spirit Airlines only.

20,000 American Airlines miles for a checking account

Here is a cool way in 3 steps to get 20,000 American Airlines miles for just opening a checking account

1. Open and fund a qualifying Citibank regular checking account with a minimum of $1,000 by June 30, 2009.

2. Within 30 days of opening your account, make at least one direct deposit into your account or make at least two electronic bill payments from your account or five pinless debit card purchase transactions each month for three consecutive months and earn your first 10,000 American Airlines bonus miles.

3. Continue making a direct deposit into your account or making two electronic bill payments from your account or five pinless debit card purchase transactions each month for the next nine consecutive months and earn an additional 10,000 American Airlines bonus miles.

Some users have told me that this doesn't work for a Citi Business card. And this that this does not work with a Chase credit card, regardless of how Citi posts the charge.

Easy MyPoints ticket to FREE $10 Panera Bread reward

The MyPoints program is one of my favorites. It used to give me a free $10 Panera Bread ticket about once a month, for doing virtually nothing, with almost no inconvenience. You can ask me to refer you. You get 125 MyPoints for joining and filling out your profile, and I get some points at no cost to you. After you join, you can start referring, too. But first read the items below:

I need your first and last names, and your email address. In the past, some people I have referred have attempted to defraud MyPoints, probably by enrolling more than once under different email addresses.

MyPoints is very good at detecting this. Alas, they have threatened to close my account because too many of my referrals have tried this. So, in order to refer you, I must have your written promise that you will sign up for MyPoints only once.

I have only a limited number of referrals. If you ask for one, and then don't sign up and participate in the program, a referral is wasted. So please ask me to refer you only if you are certain you will sign up and participate. You must earn 125 points (easy) for me to receive credit.

How I earned 7,000 Hilton HHonors® Bonus Points from $100 e-Rewards currency

The e-rewards program offers mega credit for doing surveys. However, it would be possible to earn credit towards miles by simply clicking on the Earn More links at the bottoms of the emails they send you, and by taking advantage of easy credit opportunities listed in the "Earn Now" section of your e-rewards homepage. So I mention it here.

Credit earned can be used to buy miles on Delta, Continental, Northwest, Frontier, Air France/KLM, and Virgin Atlantic Airlines, and AirTran and U.S. Airways and BMI, and points for Hilton HHonors, or discounts from various merchants.

There are versions of e-rewards for North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, Oceania, and Africa.
