Make money idea: Selling Mineral Makup wholesale online

Mineral makeup wholesale will allow you to quit your day job and enjoy each day selling makeup!

If you are currently dissatisfied with your job or business, then I recommend selling mineral makeup.

There are LOADS of ways to make money with mineral makeup and many people are doing it!

Don't allow fear or insecurity to prevent you from making a positive career change.

With mineral makeup you can start small, and build up to any size company you like!

I'll begin here with the basics of mineral makeup wholesale buying and reselling.

-Easy start up (most companies have low minimums)

-Easy to learn (even if you know nothing about makeup like I did)

-Has virtually no shelf life (so you can stock up to save money in the long run)

-Allows you to express your creativity

-Allows you to work on YOUR time schedule and at YOUR own pace

-It is so exciting!!

-Excellent profit margin

-Easy to locate a good source

-Provides waves of customers who return over and over for "their" colors!

Etc.

The list goes on and on.

It is just a great product to sell!

STEPS TO TAKE:

**If you are clueless as to where to even start, I recommend starting with a simple web search.

Search for terms like: wholesale mineral makeup, mineral makeup wholesale, mineral makeup wholesale supplier, etc...

You will find a bevy of great mineral makeup companies to buy from. Buy from the company YOU find works best for you.

So search around till you find a supplier you are interested in.

Buy some samples from their retail line if possible to make sure the quality of the makeup is excellent and to your personal liking.

Keep in mind that you if YOU aren't in love with a certain mineral makeup wholesale brand, then you won't be able to sell with as much enthusiasm as if you did really love it. That will affect sales.

So make sure you love it and are excited about it!

**Once you have numerous samples of the mineral makeup wholesale line, decide on your plan of action.

Will you sell only to friends and family, or will you sell at flea markets? Will you go online and face the internet world?

Remember, even if you know NOTHING about the web, like I did, you can still create a website that gets great traffic rankings. Or you can sell on eBay or other auction sites. There are many options.

Think on it, come up with multiple ideas, and then move on.

**You need to make your first mineral makeup wholesale purchase eventually. Ask the seller or look around her site for info about her most popular colors and start with these.

In general, neutral, natural shades sell the best. Light to medium foundations will by far outsell darker shades. This will depend upon your clientèle, however. If you will be selling mostly do darker skinned women, then by all means, go with mostly darker foundation shades.

I recommend carrying one or two neutral cheek colors.

For eyeshadow, start with a good natural brown and cream shade, and begin adding other colors as time and money permit.

So start small if you are unsure and tight on money. As your confidence and money supply builds, then expand your offerings to cover most customer requests. Don't try to please everybody or you'll be constantly disappointed and frazzled.

Begin building your website, listing your eBay auctions, planning your local sales, having makeup parties, etc. Whichever money-making plans you choose, I recommend highly giving the internet a shot. That has the potential to catapult you to monetary heights you might have never dreamed of.

**Odds and ends of your new business will really get confusing at times. Which size labels do I order for which size jar? How do I seal my jars for shipment? What is the best shipping company to use?

I understand your frustration. When this happens, just take it slowly and surely and you WILL get it. Whatever you do, just don't give up. Keep plugging along and things will smooth over... you'll find the sources, ideas and people you like working with and things will flow. But you must keep your head level and don't get frustrated with your mineral makeup wholesale adventure.

**Labels: You will need 1.67 inch labels for standard 30 gram makeup jars.

You will need 1.67 inch labels for standard 20 gram makeup jars (same diameter, but shorter than the 30 gram jar)

You will need 1.2 inch labels for standard 10 gram makeup jars.

You will need 1 inch labels for standard 5 gram makeup jars.

You can get any color you like. Get waterproof if you want really slick, professional labels. But simple paper labels will work just fine and those are what I use.

**Jars:

Mineral makeup jars can be confusing...

30 gram jars actually hold on average 10 grams of loose powder.

20 gram jars actually hold on average 5 grams of loose powder.

10 gram jars actually hold on average 2.5 grams of loose powder.

5 gram jars actually hold on average 1 grams of loose powder.

The reason for the discrepancy is: The jars are sold according to how much of a LIQUID ingredient they would hold. If you were to fill up a 30 gram jar with water, it would hold 30 grams by weight. But when you fill it up with loose, fluffy powder (less dense than water), it only holds on average, about 10 grams by weight.

When filling your powder into your various jar sizes, I recommend stainless steel measuring spoons with a flat back (that way you can turn the spoon over after filling powder into your jar and tap the powder down into the jar with the back of the spoon).

A 1/8 cup round coffee scoop works great for filling the 20 and 30 gram mineral makeup jars.

Deciding which color goes in which jar will be up to you. Some people sell each color in each jar size. I personally don't want to stock that many items, so I sell each color in one size retail, but multiple sizes wholesale.

Just start somewhere. You can adjust later on if you like.

To keep your jars secure if shipping, you can either apply clear sticker seals over the jars (or buy jars that already have the seal on the sifter), and/or shrink wrap them. A shrink wrap is just a small, plastic sleeve that you wrap around your jar, then blast with your blow dryer or heat gun. It shrinks up around the jar, for a professional, sealed look. (Remember applying colored shrink sleeves to eggs on Easter as a kid? This is the same principle).

**Makeup Brushes. You will want to sell mineral makeup brushes along with your mineral makeup powder.

Sell at least one kabuki style for sure. Then begin adding in a nice powder brush, eye shadow brush, concealer brush, brush kit, etc.

Kits that include brushes and mineral makeup are great for beginners, so come up with some ideas for that.

Once you have gathered all your supplies, you are well on your way to selling mineral makeup.

**Keep in mind during the whole process that it is okay to start small and build later. Start with the basic supplies and as resources permit, add more in time.

Also, don't get in a rush. You CAN start making money right away, but don't get frustrated or overwhelmed with everything you need to do. Just take each thing one at a time and it will happen.

**Don't get stuck in a rut of thinking you can only sell mineral makeup retail. You can also sell mineral makeup WHOLESALE! There are many other people wanting to get started in the mineral makeup wholesale industry, and you can supply them!

Repackage your bulk makeup into whatever sizes you like (1 oz or 4 oz or 16 oz, etc...) and sell for a profit to OTHERS wanting to package it themselves!

Or fill the jars, leave them unlabeled and sell for a profit. Or, label them and sell them under your own brand name for salons and spas to carry. There are many options for your mineral makeup wholesale business.

**Shipping Options:

You can use any shipping company you like. If you are unsure, just start by shipping your packages from your local post office.

Eventually move to printing your labels online, as this will be quicker than hand-writing each label, and also provide a record of each shipment made.

**Payment:

Paypal is a great way to accept money if you don't have a merchant account. You can even print your shipping labels directly from there.

People can pay you with their paypal account or a credit card ( they don't even have to have a paypal account!).

**Legal:

You do need to set up your business legally with your state sooner rather than later. I recommend scouting out an accountant , and having them do your books and set you up in the proper business. Whether you will become a sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC or corporation, will depend upon your personal needs and desires.
