How to get a free iPhone 3G or 500$ from Givafree!

Last year I wrote about how to get FREE Apple iPod Nano 2GB and the post got me a lot a traffic. Today the Apple’s iPhone 3G came out and there were folks flying to New Zealand, people waiting in line, some conflict in Canada, strong reviews, lots of apps to play with and expectations that border on the ridiculous. It’s a real circus, and sure the iPhone 3G will be big. Sure it’ll sell well out of the gate. And yes, there’s international expansion to be had, but there is a real possibility that the latest iPhone won’t be a slam.

I was the 48th customer standing in the line and when it was my turn the shop ran out of all iPhones. How unlucky I am. Well to add to that just at 8AM CST, it seems there was a peak server load issue because of all the east coast Apple and AT&T stores opening. Here at the Apple Store customers were being told that their phones can’t be activated and to take them home to activate. It was a big iPhone 3G activation/sync fiasco. Apple really borked the activation thing bad, I keep having this vision of a pissed off Steve Jobs marching up and down the aisles in iPhone engineering tearing people a new one.

When connecting the iPhone 3G to iTunes, the barber pole spins for a minute then throws a -9838 error. Anyone else having activation issues? All the customer service numbers were jammed and auto forwarded to a standard message without being able to get connected to a human being.
