FREE SPIRIT Miles will expire when an account becomes inactive for a period of 6 months or more. An “inactive” account is one that has less than 2,000 miles credited to it from any source during the preceding 6 months. However, miles can be kept alive with one purchase per month on their credit card. This program appears to be truely for frequent flyers on Spirit Airlines only.
