Apart from saving your blog from javascript bugs that are analogous to these furniture termites, I have listed below some general ways to kill termites and termite pest control. Hope that helps. As I mentioned in earlier post I brought a desk to my house from work that they didn't want because it was old, but a few months ago they had termites I think. The building was treated. If they didn't get the desk, can termites get in through that? It's not made of solid wood. Sure enough termites had invade my house through used furniture. In fact, furniture is actually one of the most common ways of spreading them around the country, and is how many species of termites get into new regions that they aren't native to.
1) Liquid Termite Treatment - Liquid termiticides are sprayed around your house to kill or repel any termites coming into contact with them.
2) Termite Baits - The other major way to kill termites, baits are placed around your home and gradually kill off a colony by spreading small amounts of pesticides through the workers.
3) Borate Termite Treatment - Borate treatments are applied directly to wood in your house, sort of like a coat of paint. This is best done when the house is being constructed, however.
4) Fumigation - A method that only works on a specific species, the drywood termite, that is common in the Southernmost parts of the United States.
