This was originally being built to serve as a support forum for other laid off people and to allow those employees to find other former co-workers. The idea for the site came after the two founders and over 2 dozen of their friends from various companies were all laid off within a one-month period.

It started out as one, because about 2 dozen of the founders of this web site's friends were laid off over a 4 month stretch. The idea of keeping in contact, helping each other out, and providing a common place to share the frustrations of being laid off is no joke
