Tyler Cruz Goes To The Dogs
Tyler Cruz is trying to raise some money for his local SPCA. It seems Tyler is a dog lover and the SPCA is dear to his heart.
Tyler is hoping to raise $1,000 by January 15. He’s already half way there since he chipped in the first $500. He’s asking readers to match the $500 to bring total donation to a grand. I’m not as big a dog lover as Tyler but I’m willing to toss in this free publicity for him. Good luck with the $1000 goal.

Follow Shoemoney and Win a Flip HD or Macbook Air
It looks like Shoe is making the move to 10,000 Twitter followers. He’s holding a contest to give away a couple of Flip Mino HD and an Apple MacBook Air. All you have to do is follow Shoe and tweet about his contest. That’s a pretty cool way to increase Twitter followers. I think I’ll hold a Twitter contest as well. I’ll go dig up some nice prizes to one-up the Shoe.

Tweet of the year from a plane crash survivor
Twitter is becoming a major way for people to share news. The site was used widely during the attacks on Mumbai, and also during the recent election. More recently, a Continental plane leaving Denver, Colorado crashed during takeoff on December 21. A number of passengers were injured, but everyone survived--and one tech-savvy survivor chose to share his experience via Twitter.
Perhaps it was the shock of being in a major plane accident, or maybe Mike Wilson (pictured in his Twitter photo, above) would have tweeted (posted on Twitter) about the event either way. Regardless, Wilson goes down in history as the first person to tweet during a plane crash. No, he did not pick up his phone as the plane was skidding off the runway--he tweeted once he escaped and was a safe distance from the burning plane.
His first tweet was: "Holy f****** sh** I wasbjust [sic] in a plane crash!"
Later Wilson tweeted about losing his glasses, and being held in the Presidents' Club and not being able to get a vodka and tonic. He then goes into some detail about the actual crash.
"By the time the plane stopped we were burning pretty well and I think I could feel the heat even through the bulkhead and window," he wrote. "I made for the exit door as quickly as I could, fearing the right wing might explode from the fire. Once out, I scrambled down the wing."
You can read Wilson's full feed by checking out his Twitter page. If you can believe it, this is the second plane crash for Wilson, but he got back on the horse and flew to his intended destination, Houston.
