Money as Debt

Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it is being created. It is an entertaining way to get the message out. The Cowichan Citizens Coalition and its "Duncan Initiative" received high praise from those who previewed it. I recommend it as a painless but hard-hitting educational tool and encourage the widest distribution and use by all groups concerned with the present unsustainable monetary system in Canada and the United States.

iPhone 3G: First recall in Apple History?

“Apple Recall” sounds more like a finely tuned buzz word for their Time Machine application or the latest Arnold Schwarzenegger flick, rather than the serious Apple concern that it is quickly growing awareness among Apple users. Is it due to the cheap exports from China for reducing the overall iPhone costs to half of its orginal price last year?

Dubbed as “Power Adapter Exchange Program”, Apple has recently addressed reports that the lifeblood of the iPhone 3G, the power adapter, contains prongs that are prone to breaking off in your outlet, resulting in electric shock. Rather than downplay the issue as circumstantial, Apple has announced a worldwide recall of all iPhone 3G power adapters.

Exchanges are available via web and instore beginning October 10th. In the meantime I strongly recommend using the supplied usb adapter to power your iPhone via your computer.

Google's Android-platform gPhone makes a giant step off the desktop

Earliar in 2008 the top Google execs had gone on record, multiple times in the media in the last week, all saying the same thing that there is no gPhone. Google is engineering an open source multi-platform capable OS that any other member of the alliance is welcome to use in the design of a new cell phone. In the same way that Microsoft doesn't make your PC, it was speculated Google will not be making your new cell phone. But tomorrow Sep 23, the things will change forever with Android. T-Mobile USA, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, is set to unveil a touch-screen device with a swiveling keyboard that incorporates some of the defining features of both Apple Inc.'s iPhone and Research In Motion Ltd.'s BlackBerry. The device, dubbed the Dream, is built by Taiwan's HTC Corp., which until now has kept a low profile as a contract manufacturer of other companies' phones.

-Android allows you to access core mobile device functionality through standard API calls.

-Combine information from the web with data on the phone -- such as contacts or geographic location -- to create new user experiences.

-Android does not differentiate between the phone's basic and third-party applications -- even the dialer or home screen can be replaced.

-The SDK contains what you need to build and run Android applications, including a true device emulator and advanced debugging tools.

Here are the sequence of events that have transpired over the making of gPhone 3G:
-Google purchased Android, a software company that makes software for mobile devices.
-Google filed a patent for a mobile payment processing system called Gpay.
-Google purchased Zingku and Jaiku, two companies that provide social networking services. Zingku offers applications for text messaging, sharing pictures, instant messaging and other networking features. Jaiku is a microblog site like Twitter, allowing users to post and read messages with friends.
-Google has expressed interest in bidding in the FCC's upcoming 700-MHz auction with the minimum reserve of $4.6 billion and the stipulation that the FCC agree to its "open devices" terms. This auction will sell off commercial blocks of bandwidth in the 700 MHz frequency. Google executives say they want the mobile phone market to become more competitive, allowing customers to buy any handset and use it with any phone service or operating system.
-Google is working on creating mobile device versions of its applications.
-Google continues to lead the market of Internet-based advertising.

NASA guy in trouble with the new Microsoft commercial

The three new non-Seinfeld commercials, which the New York Times described earlier this week, still don’t talk about Vista features. But they do try to break the stereotype that cool and interesting people use Macs, and everyone else is on a Windows machine.

There is a lot of chatter about the NASA guy appearing in the Windows ads is committing an ethics violation by being in these ads, punishable by fine for each violation. It turns out that US Government employees are prohibited by law from endorsing commercial products. If this guy had paid attention to the ethics training every US government employee is required to take, he would have known better. I guess Microsoft simply didn't care about subjecting this guy to Ethics Code violations and their penalties, which could curtain his NASA career.

The three new commercials are below:

1000 times daily earnings growth by blogging

As the great philosopher from the East once said -"A  win does not matter, a try what matters, the most...", this blog ghostrider30 has risen from its daily earnings of $0.03 to $30 in a matter of just a year based on this philosophy. That is 1000 times growth in blog earnings. This blogging income is now covering my losses that were incurred due to poor stocks like NASDAQ:VG, NASDAQ:SIRI and some mutual funds that downgraded my portfolio by $10,000 in a year. I dont think about the $10,000 drop anymore after I got addicted to blogging. All my blogging started on Oct 7, 2007 with just a belief and try to experiment after being inspired by some great bloggers who live to write just great content. I believe that if you just blog to your hearts content, and get started with my referral links, you would start making profit in no time and have 1000 times daily earnings growth like me. Its a very simple formula that I can't explain in any more easy way.
